Cloud Computing Ensures Business Continuity
A solid business continuity plan ensures that critical business functions will be available to customers, suppliers, regulators and other entities in the event of fire, theft, flood, wind, or other natural or man made disaster. A key component of many business continuity plans is the co-location of critical, if not all, servers and storage within a secure and weather resistant facility. By adopting a Cloud Computing philosophy, this component is automatically included since the infrastructure that supports the cloud is already co-located within such a structure.
Recovery Plan
In the event of an unplanned disaster, a company can simply relocate their employees to any location including temporary office facilities, homes, or even the local coffee shop. As long as that location has Internet connectivity, those employees can continue to work without disruption.
